Appointments

We make every effort to schedule patients with critical problems as quickly as possible. Routine appointments and exams are generally scheduled two months in advance. Surgery and contact lens fittings are generally scheduled one month in advance. More popular times, such as after-school appointments for children, may require more advanced scheduling.

Please understand that we do not rush our patients, and we take the time to answer your questions and address your concerns. To make sure we have that time, we limit the number of patients we schedule each day. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule and your needs.

For a routine eye exam for an adult or child, plan on being here about 90 minutes. Vision may be blurry and your eyes may be very light sensitive for a few hours after your appointment because of the dilating eyedrops we use. You may want to have someone else drive you home.

What to bring

    Insurance card

Referral (if required by your insurance company)

Patient Information Form (We will mail one to you; please fill it out before your appointment)

    Payment for exam and/or copay

Eyeglasses and contact lenses (If you have both, wear your contact lenses and bring your contact lens case and your glasses. You will need to wear your glasses instead of contacts for a few hours after your eyes are dilated. If you have prescription sunglasses, please bring them as well.)
